Impact Switch
It is a passive, mechanical switch that can be opened and closed under the effect of acceleration or shock according to predetermined threshold values in the systems. It acts as a sensor depending on the duration of the acceleration or shock and is used as a trigger element in the system.
Areas of Use
Defense and Aviation: In explosive-tipped missiles, depending on the structure of the system, it triggers the fuse at the moment of impact, allowing the explosion or the timer to start. It is used to give feedback to the user or trigger a subsystem in accordance with the system architecture in case of sudden acceleration changes in aircraft (airplane, helicopter, drone, etc.) or in cases such as bird strike (bird strike).
Automotive: It is used to deploy airbags or trigger different components in the event of a crash.
Impact and shock tests: It provides a cost-oriented solution for verifying that the samples to be tested are tested at the desired acceleration or shock values.
How it Works?
It reacts faster than one hundred of a second in the event of an acceleration or shock at a preset threshold value on the system it is used on. During this reaction, it creates a change in the electrical signal and triggers other elements in the system. In this way, other triggered elements can realize the scenario appropriate to the system architecture.
What are the Advantages of Our Impact Switch?
- If it is not physically damaged, it can be used several times at a high rate compared to its competitors.
- It provides an advantage over its competitors with better electrical conductivity and lower resistance values with its gold-plated legs.
- Acceleration threshold values and product dimensions can be changed according to the system architecture of the product to be integrated and the area to be connected.
- The bending process can be done easily when connecting to the electronic board with the ideal hardness of the gold-plated legs.
